Mazda OE rev. C coils: Who's running them?
Mazda OE rev. C coils: Who's running them?
I swapped in some rev. C coils about 26k miles ago. No issues yet, though I feel like that's not saying much.
Anyone else using the rev. C coils? How many miles have you put on them, and how have they held up?

One of my B coils died around 10K miles, so I bought a set of C coils as replacements. One of those died about 5K miles later, so I went ahead and invested in a BHR kit. No problems with those at all here 15K miles later.
Bump!
Appreciate the responses, folks. Any more feedback? Trying to gauge whether to replace my C coils when I do my spark plugs in the next few months -- they'll be 35k miles old at that point.

Well, as I mentioned above, I did that. Dealer told me that my original OEM coils were really just fine, but I decided to change 'em just to be safe.
Update: One of my ignition components is failing, unsure if its the coils, plugs, or wires. The set has about 22K miles on them. Going to replace them all together this week.
My 2010 RX-8 GT 6Spd MT... Bought it with 51,234 miles about 3 months ago, now with 56,785 miles...still running great and i havent done anything but an oil change...

I am running N3H1-18-100C coils, new plugs, and new OEM Mazda wires on my 2010 GT (44K miles). Installed this Summer. No perceived change in performance nor had issues or MIL codes prior. Pure RX8 preventative maintenance work.
I put in my rev-C coils about 30K mi. ago - I hadn't noticed much difference between it and the coils I replaced, which I kept. My '8 now has about 75K total, and no real issues that I've had aside from letting her sit too long recently.
Old post but would like to add for US market N3H1-18-100C are actually N3H1-18-100B-9U, same part different part number due to region.
