Question Mark ??Mazda News on 2006 RX-8?? Question Mark

When will Mazda release news about the next year of RX-8's? What are the changes (if any) going to be and when will we find out?

Seems to be getting late in the year doesn't it?

The longer the wait...the more of a chance nothing will change, sadly...

Looks to be nothing more than Color changes.

Although, really, Mazda's Media and PR seems to totally suck so who knows.

The Mazda5s are sitting in port right now. But as anyone even really seen one? There's no commercials, little print ads, almost nothing at all to tell everyone that Mazda is launching an entirely new car in a month or two. No one but diehard Mazda fans even knows what a Mazda5 is, and I'd wager that only a small fraction of them do.

The Mazda6 is getting a refresh for this year -- no media coverage at all. With the exception of some spy photos that some Mazda6Club members that live around Irvine have gotten of cars in their parking lot, there is NO coverage of the Mazda6 refresh at all.

So who knows precisely what's up. At this point it looks like Mazda could release an RX-7 tomorrow and I wouldn't be too surprised that no one had heard about it until then.

Maybe you should add a frickin' question mark to the title! Why start a thread to ask dumb questions?? If the news was already out it'd be posted here ASAP! Jeeeeeez.

Next time that someone writes a topic as a 'fact' than a question, I'm going to feed them to the sharks.. the ones with freaking laser beams on their heads.

I ALSO thought this was a thread that there was some news on the '06 from Mazda.

I'd bet dollars to donuts the Mazda5's are sitting in port awaiting their ECU to be reflashed, and Mazda will soon annouce a 'lower-than-expected' HP rating.

Just figured I'd add my 2 cents here.......
I'm currently in Iraq and have been communicating with my salesman about ordering an 8 since january. I figured I'd wait to get a 2006 since I won't be home until early November anyway. While we thought we could order the car in June or July, I just received an email from him telling me that the dealership couldn't put in any orders for 2006's until the third week in October and that they would start hitting dealerships in december. I realize that none of us like salesmen and that what they say is hardly credible half the time, but this seems like valid info so I wanted to pass on what I've heard. Hope this helps in some way.

December/January will be a great time to pick up a new, left over '05 for big buck savings. The 2006 models will likely not change much save for a color change maybe and possibly a few minor things. Don't pre-order a 2006 or you will pay through the nose. Wait until you can negotiate in person and you will save, save, save. Any dealer interested in selling cars can find exactly the car you want in a Mazda dealers inventory.

BTW, thanks for being in Iraq! People I talk to appreciate the work you guys and girls are doing for the country over there, so don't believe all the recent BS about polls. Be safe and come home soon!

Oh cry me a river. Sorry for making a post, I thought that was what this forum was for...

If you are going to have a heart-attack everytime you get excited maybe the RX-8 isn't the car for you anyways.

Ya know a simple "?" would have averted all this. Maybe you should change the original post and add one.
