Mazda engineers lookng at my RX

How unusual is it to have Mazda engineers looking at my RX-8 ('04 auto)? My dealer replaced my original engine for lack of power at high temps, and I immediately had the same problem on my reman engine one day later. They've had my car for 10 days and the service writer told me Mazda engineers are looking at my car. Is this normal procedure for a difficult repair?

If your dealer isn't feeding you a load of BS, they're most likely looking at it to figure out why they're having so many issues and trying to figure out a better solution. Depending on where you are in So Cal, Mazda engineers may be right down the road from you.

PM Easy_1 in AZ. He can tell you all about the engineers and why they are (if your information is correct) crawling all over the car.

You are probably right. I forgot that MNAO is headquartered in Irvine, CA...my car is being service by Mazda in Van Nuys, CA. I hope my car makes a contribution to solving RX-8's engine problems.

Aww but annoying and excessively stupid posts have their place too...

Every board needs someone to randomly post crap. Its entertaining and distracting from the main cause. Besides if taj didn't post random stuff then who would you complain about? You'd be bored within no time flat!

not really,

i think giving advice when you dont know what you are talking about is a big problem.. btw, lots of random crap keeping all of us busy..

he is just way over the top.. if he would read, and post less he could give useful tips or links..

btw, i get occupied by the true trolls.. which he is not.

It's the bad workmanship by the prisonors who rebuild the engine.

They are trying to figure that out. Pretty simple. You get what you pay for.
