Nope...Well, not since I took a belt-sander to it! Now it won't be blinding anyone anymore! BuHhahhahaaa!

Hmmmmm...Maybe I should have tried some black spray paint first...oh well

My grandparents had this same problem with the mercedes logo on the wheel, until they took a black magic marker to it. Oh and that pesky hood orniment, they just ripped it off.

I've never noticed any glare, maybe it's because of the dark tinted windows.

No problem in that department. The tinted windows do help.

Don't remember ever getting blinded by the mazda logo. But it's true that a brushed metal material would have looked better.
Has anyone replaced the logo? I wonder why Mazda has not put a rotary symbol there instead. Or the RX8 lettering. I've never been fond of the Mazda logo.

I've noticed the same problem and think they should have gone with something less reflective. There is significant glare from the logo during certain times of the day. One of the forum members is a pilot and indicated in another thread (which I can't find) that the NTSB cares a lot about reflective surfaces on the dash of airplanes. There was a photo of an early cabin design in that same thread which included much more polished metal -- around the gauges, as I recall. I suppose they just couldn't let go of their logo. The dash looked very cool, though, with the polished metal.
