Mazda Dealership Problems
Mazda Dealership Problems
Having problems with local Mazda Dealership covering engine warranty. Turned in car for loss of power service with engine light (random misfires..) Engine has declined in performance over the past 3 months...loss of power at 5 to 6K rpm, sputtering, and 12 mpg...not good. Thought my catalytic converter was clogged...while there I had them do compression check...Rep calls back confirming internal engine issues and low compression...said he submitted all info to Mazda for there okay to order new engine. He calls back several hours later saying "Mazda needs confirmation of all oil changes and proof"...this is total BS!!! I do all maintenance myself and have changed oil per manual..
Has anybody had this issue and what do you advise?
Much Thanks

Find your receipts and also the notebook where you wrote down the dates and mileage of all your changes. The notebook may still be on the shelf at Staples, and you might need to restore the writing. Copies of the receipts would be on your computer, probably in the Photoshop folder.

Good luck on finding those receipts. Those are the ones they needed to confirm about getting your car a re-manufactured engine. Anyway, you can still explain why you lost or didn't keep the receipts or records about the oil changes...but you know how the stealerships are.
