After some searching, I've noticed I haven't found very many 8s with a Matte or flat color paint job. I'm wondering what your guys' opinions are on this style of paint for an RX8. Reason I ask is because I've seen this on a few cars here in town and I think it is a pretty sick look.

 

If you search you will find a few threads on this subject. Looks are subjective but in my opinion flat black doesn't work on a typical street car, only on a menacing track car like the Speedsource RX-8.

You have to wash it all the time. Matte Black gets filthy. IMO.

 

Matte black looks terrible IMO. The Speedsource car is Satin Black which looks much better. Doesn't look like primer. But that car has a finish that you can only get with either Vinyl or a lot of money and a talented painter with the proper equipment.

 

Never liked the flat finished look. I'm into the glossy look.
