Lurker girl turned poster, hi everyone

My boyfriend and I purchased my RX8 during the first week of december and I've been a lurker ever since.

Its an 06 white auto appears to be a base model (16 inch wheels, non bose stereo, cloth seats, no spoiler, no side skirts)

Got it for 15,8xx + ttl with 14k miles.

Can't decide what I want to do first, rims....intake, exhaust or a new stereo.

Lower the car. Put some 18" rims and tires on it. AEM Cold Air Intake is the best for the RX8. Pick a catback exhaust you like the sound of.
Don't worry about the stereo. It's not that bad. Unless of course you want to spend the money.

Oh and WELCOME! Pics would be nice too.

and i didnt know 06s bases came with 16" rims... i thought that was 04 and 05? what is your car rated at? 197hp or 212hp? or put it this way, is it a 4 speed or a 6 speed?

Welcome. Nice low mileage find.

Start checking the for sale section for rims first.

It will be a 6 speed AT and a 6 port engine. And yes they came with 16" rims.

did not know that. thought 16" rims were strictly 04-05.

did they carry that all the way to 08?

The "Leg Humpers" are mostly harmless. Go ahead and post photos. Some couples have fun with it.

I'll try and find some decent pics of myself, I'm not the prettiest girl in the world but I'm proud of what I got.

get stiffer sway bars. look at the for sale sections, you can usually find very cheap sets of OEM 18in wheels.

craigslist another good place to look for good deals on 18s

Yea, first get some 18" OEM rims.. You can find them at $300-$500 for the whole set on the FS section.

The dealership put brand new tires on the 16" rims....so we were going to wait till the tread wore down before upgrading.

But thanks for the suggestion.

Leg Humper checkin' in

Definitely spend some lurking the suspension and wheel forums. Not sure if you're into modding yet but cosmetic upgrades are always fun for starters

If you're more serious, definitely invest some time researching the cobb ap and it's benefits

Also, since you're in cali - be sure to check the local sections for meets - socal beach cruise is set to be starting in May this year hosted by yours truly

anyways - happy revvin'!!
