Is the RX8's HP under-rated at 238 ?? I downloaded the Top Gear Mazda RX-8 review (www.racingflix.com) and it has the same lap time as a 350Z and an M3 !?

 

I'm sure the handling helped the car a bit

 

But is it underrated at 238??

 

If anything it's overrated, it handles very well but it's not going to match an M3 on a track very often if ever again. Keep in mind that those track times are from one lap and in different conditions on different days.

 

the troll is back! always the negatiev stuff.. sure the car aint that fast off the line but it handles pretty good

 

From what I have seen on dynos I would also say it is slightly over rated. The handling is defenitly what helped it keep up with the Z, and the BMW. The 8 takes corners wonerfully.
