low dyno
low dyno
I just had my 8 dyno'd and it seems low; am I correct in thinking this. Mods: unorthodox pulleys, nology hot wires, agency exhaust, k&n v. 2 intake. Only 152 horsepower and 122 torque on a dynojet.
Yeah the dealership has done all the work on my car, I explained to service manager that I dyno'd it and it was low. He said "so you were on the freeway and you felt a loss of power, correct? " so I'm dropping it off today. Hopefully new engine.
My car had a similar dyno pull and turned out to have a leaking SSV vacuum actuator.
You can check the GTA Dyno day in the Canada forum starting page 10 of the thread.
I posted the dyno chart, AP logs etc.

so the dealership says that it's not the compression, he said that he tried to warranty it out but that it needs a tune up, new spark plugs, and the sea foam stuff. i'm getting it detailed too. uhg, gonna cost about 800$ this is on top of the other 2,800$ i've spent on it last month (new emissions fan, new o2 sensor, mazdaspeed side skirts, rear bumper, installation, stainless steel braided clutch line, new tires, oil change) uhg, this car is bleeding money!

Get your hands on a vacuum tester and check for vacuum leaks on the actuators.
