I did the same stuupid asssss thing right before DGRR. After running errands and ~ 127 miles I found it lodged below this spot marked with an X. Changed the oil again tonight and the oil was pristine. Better safe than sorry.

Old Thread but yesterday did the same thing as the OP, so far 3 hours and no oil cap.
Pull left wheel today hopefully I can see from that side, if not it will be take out air & battery boxes. ****!
If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all.

Took out air & battery boxes, oil cap was under the edge of the oil pan! What a pain.

glad you found it - I was luck to recover mine after driving it around for a while.
