My 53 8 has jus covered 65500 and on way home from work 2day engine warning light came on and also now have half the power( guessing car has gone into limp mode). Warning light has come on once before due to faulty plug other than that services have been done every 3500 and had no other problems

What other services has been done? Anyway, when did the last time you did a tune-up on it...i mean replacing the plugs, coils, and wires? That might be the problem with loss of power your having with the car.
