Looking for OEM Part by Number

Hey. I'm looking for OEM Mazda parts numbers V4-919, V7-220 and 66-122D. I can only find them on JapanParts.com, which is horribly overpriced. On top of this, shipping is ridiculous. Thing is, I can't find these parts anywhere else, at least not with these numbers, but I know they are Mazda part numbers, as I pulled them from diagrams.

The parts are an R3 bumper fitting kit, fog light kit and head/fog light control stalk respectively.

Thanks for any help!

you probably also need to get the side skirts for the R3 bumper otherwise it looks weird

I don't care for them. As far as side skirts go, they are very attractive, but I prefer my cars without side skirts if it's obvious they are add-ons. Plus, I've always liked the look of a low front and progressively higher rear, sort of like an older DTM car or Super GT car. This is why I like the way the S2 looks as if the rear bumper cuts up and it's why I like my R3 spoiler. Potentially, I'll get front splash guards, as they'll make the bumper tie in nicely and give the front wheel a very low look, but that'll be later.

Do you think the dealer will carry a kit like this?

Are the numbers I posted relevant Mazda parts, or are they just random japanparts.com numbers? Or perhaps Canadian or Japanese part numbers?

I just doubt they supply a fitting kit and a fog light kit like japanparts.com does. I know they can get me each piece individually, but that's why I'm wondering if those part numbers are US or JDM. You wouldn't happen to know?

Those are just part of the Mazda part numbers. It's missing the first four digits I believe. You have to remember that not all parts are available in the United States. Also if the fog light kit is an "accessory kit", accessories are usually priced pretty good from Mazda. If you have to buy the individual lights to make the kit, it usually costs a lot more. In the US, I don't think you can get a series 2 fog light kit, so you'll have to order each piece separate and will costs bucks. It may be cheaper even with shipping to order the fog light kit from japanparts.com

Ok I did some more research for you. (I like helping fellow S2 owners!)

Here is the fog light accessory part number your looking for:
F189-V7-220

The headlight lever should be:
G31H-66-122 or possibly G31H-66-122D

None of these part numbers worked when I entered it on US online Mazda part websites.

You can download a copy of the japan accessory brochure here. The part numbers are buried deep inside, you have to look carefully! Is there a program that will translate a japanese .pdf into english? Sorta like google translate?

So these aren't US part numbers. Damn. Apparently in Japan you can actually get bundled parts, which makes sense and saves money. Leave it to Mazda North America to make every single part different.

The biggest thing I need is #V4-919, which is a fitting kit for an R3 bumper. It has all the parts that I would have to buy individually when I get the bumper and want to mount it, but I guess it's hopeless now, less I want to pay $300 for it from Japanparts.

Thanks mate!

Are you doing a R3 bumper? Please please let me know how it goes. Let me know all the parts you need to do one too! You can PM or post it here. I would like to do a R3 front on mine too. And prices too. Japanparts might be the cheapest solution. If you have Mazda part numbers, I can try to help you price them out too.

Thanks.

US part numbers for mazda rx8 stuff are generally in the following format:

N3H1-xx-xxxx

Even the JDM stuff I've seen brought over usually follows this number system, although the numbers may be different than our numbers.

PM ASH8, he is a parts guy overseas and may be able to offer some assistance.

Yes I am and I'll let you know. I'm buying a remanufactured R3 bumper probably, as I've found a site that has them for about $270 shipped. I know I need the bottom left and ride small splitters and the bolts and pop-rivets that go with them. Apart from that, everything should transfer from the standard bumper. I think there is a small part that extends the wheel well, but it isn't necessary.

I'm interested in the fitting kit because it has the splitters, the well bits and a new front badge, which I need because mine got damaged along with the rest of my stock front from road debris. It'll take me a little while to get all the parts, but I'll definitely make a write up.

I shot him a wall message, but no reply. I'll send a PM in a couple of days. He's the one with the white S2 right? I've seen him around spreading knowledge.

Look Weird??

Fogs are not exclusive to the R3..(GT Australia)

About as weird as the stupid and useless looking side skirts on the R3, good god they look bloody awful, there is just no shape to them, they look like a piece of 4x2 nailed on...frankly the ugliest part of the S2....IMO naturally..
