Looking For Info!

Hey new to the forum and looking at a 04 with higher mileage 74k was wondering what sort of things I should be looking for as far as what maintenance will I be looking at etc.The car was a lease and the mileage is almost all highway.
The overall appearance is good . Trying to get ahold of the owner to ask about the car what sort of questions would you ask since it was a lease I hope he will be honest .
Any input you can give will be appreaciated! Also anyone out there with input on the overall reliability of the RX8 long term will help.
Thanks

Bring it in to the dealer to make sure the flash has been done on the ECU and you will be fine.

Check your oil every 1000 miles as the engine drops oil on the tips to lubricate it just like a chain on a motor cycle.

Check brakes and tires and color of oil. Know what you will have to buy to make it go a long time, like tires.

Change the brake fluid your self or have it done. It makes a big differance.

Consider replacing the rear struts. If you really like they car get a set of Racing Beat springs and Koni shocks and you will be good to go until the car dies.

The engine should last 200k or more.

Excellent advice. The 04s had a lot of service bulletins. Make sure everything was updated and serviced on the car.
