Looking at an 04 rx8 with 30k on engine

Looking at an 04 rx8 renesis 6speed on friday. Guy said engine was replaced 30k miles ago, has paperwork from the dealer to prove it. My question is, what is the warranty on a replaced engine? Is it transferable?

8 year or 100k since the car was firstly purchased doesnt matter how many engines its gone thru. the warranty goes with the car so it doesnt matter how many owners it has.

So if the engine was replaced at 95k, 30k on the engine, 125k on the car, there is no warranty of any sort, correct?

Sorry, I am just trying to be certain.

no, its 100k since it was firstly purchased. within that 100k you get free engines if the compression falls lower than minimum specs.

Once you are over 100K on the car, all coverage stops. And the 8 year warrenty would be up soon anyway.

Thanks for helping clear this up. If an engine needs full on replaced, while not under warranty, what would I expect to pay?

8 years 100,000 miles from date of original purchase and yes the warranty is transferable.
