Just wanted to check in peeps.
'05 RX-8 6MT Sport (when Sport included Xenon, ESC, etc.)
88,000 miles
ZERO RUST (Fluid Film is awesome stuff - better than Amsoil HD Metal Protector IMO)
No Problems to date, original motor is strong as ever
Oil/Filter changes every 3k miles
Two coolant flush/fills
One new battery
One new set of pads front and back
One new set of spark plugs
One rear differential gear oil change
Cold weather is early this year and I've been busy, but Snow Shoes go on this Saturday.
Have test driven probably 16 cars in last three years & see none that I prefer to the 8. In fact, many are worse than their last generations, IMO. Even Nissan killed the G37 with the Q50, now, sadly, which is probably the only car I would have considered changing over to if I had to (glad that I don't).
