Locked my only key in my car.....

Ok so today I was washing my 8 because it was a great day out. While I was wiping down the inside I accidentally locked the doors.......and then shut them. I walked around to do the other side and now both doors are locked.

Any ideas?

Skeleton Key. Menards/Lowes/Home Depot carry them. Think they are about a buck fifty.

Slimjim doesn't work. I locked my key in my car while it was running once, had a local company come and try to open it. They needed to get a milk carton(so it doesn't scratch), put a little hand pump in it to pump the door open a bit, then use a hook-type-slimjim thinger. Took about 35 minutes :O

brick vs window isn't 100% guarantee of breaking the window... better off using a spark plug.

+1000000 on the smart key.. zero chance of locking your keys in the car.

It does work just gotta be quick at what you do It has an auto lock function so if its pulled then it instantly locks back and freezes the lock. . If you hit it and open the door a the same time then your golden

That is exactly what he brought pumped the door open and this hook think poped the lock from the inside!

.....NOW i have a new problem when i press the clutch to the floor it does not come back up all the way! So called the dealer going to bring it in Wednesday to get it looked at because i have no idea what it could be.

It comes back to a point then just stops and I have to pull it back the rest of the way.

If your lock problem is fixed, open a new thread for your clutch prob.

Use the brick...

You're already on a roll with locking the key inside the car

Did he reach for the lock button inside the car, or did he grab something inside the door?

Ken

Locked key in a rental car and AAA came out and put this rubber thing between door and door jamb and then put a wire thing in there and unlocked. Cars are easy to break into.

Take your VIN and ID and go to the dealer..they can cut you a key...won't start the car without programming..but it will open the door

Car battery was low so i figured I would let the car run ie on and lock the door.
Since I have this SmartKey, I could just unlock it and get back it!
WRONG!
Car would not lock ie will not lock with engine running.
