A little problem with my storage guy

I have my eight in storage at a friends house. The thing is, i go to school 2 hours away and spies tell me he is sneaking a drive from time to time. That pisses me off!
I would like to know if anyone keeps their eight outside in the winter with a car cover? I wont drive it in the snow and salt. I'm hoping to get a good car cover and leave it in my driveway at my other house.

Only reason i gave him the keys is to start it up once a week. I already warned him about not driving it. The car only has liability insurance on it so he shouldnt be driving it either way. I guess my only choice is to leave it out in the cold. Damn this sucks

Take out the battery and store it in your house.

Also, you can keep your 8 outside with a cover on it because that is what I have to do for winter and I've had no problems.

If he just drives it down the block, thats not a big deal. Maybe he wants to get the wheels moving a little. But if he drives it the whole day, thats messed up of him after telling him NOT to drive.

Get a grenade, and some string.

Tie one side to one door, and the pin side to the drivers side door.

Make sure you put a warning sign on the window so you're not liable after he explodes.

Plant bomb making chemicals in his basement, and say you suspect he was experimenting and obsessing with some sort of "plan" to do with blowing something up.

winter car is the way to go....I sleep better at night knowing my 8 is protected in the garage with all this crappy below zero snowy weather. Plus I don't trust other idiots on the road from running into my car because they suck at driving in the snow.

Z, I know you know what I am talking about with the idiot drivers we got in Iowa.

GL with the car storage deal. I would try to find a garage you can rent for the winter over the car cover thing. That would be my last resort.

take the keys with you. I store mine for 3 months and dont start it once. Done that for 3 winters now, youll be fine. Youll have to jump start it in the spring but it should fire right up with cables hooked up to it.

Take the keys man.

i'd just put the car in your driveway. put the car up on stands, so the tires dont deform. (just enough to unload the tires. not all the way off the ground.) and take the battery out. make sure you DONT put the battery on cold concrete. put the battery on cardboard or wood or something.
