Does the orange ring around the cigarette lighter light up at night? I just had my ashtray replaced, I am not sure if that is suppose to light up or not.

mine doesn't. just the light when you open the tray

 

Yes it is supposed to light up. IF you take out the ashtray you will find it has a tiny 1.5w globe in it. The harness may have not been inserted after they cahnged the ashtray or the globe may have burnt out, like mine did. Simple to replace.

 

Yes it's supposed to light up red. Just the ring around the cigarette lighter then there is a little light in the try (i think). Problalby just disconnected if its not working.

I pulled the ashtray out, I see the light above it, but there is definitely no light around the cigarette lighter. How hard is it to pull that off or do i have to bring it back to the dealer again

 

I would just let the dealer look at it.
