Led interior lights legal!! (wisconsin)

i live in wisconsin and i was wondering if the interior floor lighting is legal? the reason why is because it is on the floor but it is bright enough to see in the windows. Some people say that it is illegal and legal but i am not so sure. i am also wondering if neon lights are legal too.

Thank you for all your replies.

depends on the color. but if the lights are visible from the outside [while moving] they probably are illegal.

i have blue footwell lights and have tint, so its only visible if your in the car.

to Answer your question. Yes, any red or blue lights are illegal on your car. You will get a ticket for impersonating a officer. I know this for a fact. It is also a Felony, not just a slap on the wrist. This goes for the state of IL and WI

set up your footwell lights to only come on with the courtesy lights and your problem is solved. Why you'd want footwell lights on while driving is beyond me.
I have the original RR footwell lights, they come on when the door is opened, turn off when door is shut. And they are blue.

You can't have lights on in the inside of the car because it is a distraction.

A good officer will give you a ticket.

Distractive driving is considered to be careless.
