Lately I feel like I have a small lack of power.. I don't get the same pull I used to above 5k rpm. Now I do have a faulty cat. Which is going to be replaced this week.. Could that be it? Or am I just crazy haha

 

yes a clogged cat could affect high RPM performance.

When my previous cat failed, I literally could not go above 6K and the car felt like it had half the power... literally.... lol

I know the 8 isn't the quickest car, but yes it was a VERY noticable difference for me at least.

 

A faulty cat needs to be replaced ASAP or you could damage your motor permanently.

 

im gonna get it done asap.. ill call mazda tomorrow to get them to order the cat and replace it under warranty

yeah.. in my case the cel will pop on and off.. after about 4 times i took it in and they told me it was faulty.. i dont notice a big power loss but something just doesnt seem the same to me.. usually i would get more of a kick out of her.. but today it felt like i was driving a civic..

 

btw does anyone know where i can buy both oil cooler hose at? certain hoses but the whole line
