Larger fuel injector install problems

Has anyone installed larger fuel injectors in their RX8? I have two 550cc injectors installed on my 4 port automatic in the secondary slots and I have had peformance problems. It is running worst than before I even drove it to see if the ECU will notice the new injectors but still downhill on the performance. I did not know that the stock fuel injectors can handle up to 10 pounds of boost I would have left them stock to late for that. Mazda recommends you to change your ignition coils after 40,000 miles and I have new ones installed and still no change. I do have headers, high flow cat and catback exhaust installed and what I noticed that there is no heat sheild to protect the O2 sensors maybe throwing them off? Has anyone had problems with headers and high flow cat installs? Not sure what is going on I might need a decarb done at Mazda and maybe get my stock injectors back any suggestions on what I should do? I am not running boost on my RX8 naturally aspirated.

You can't run bigger injectors without changing the ECU so that it knows they are there....so you need an AP or reflash or an aftermarket ECU like an IntX

You can't just chuck in big injectors and hope it will work.

Whenever the secondaries are coming on...you are running real rich

No wonder it doesn't run well

I do have the Greddy piggyback ECU installed but apparently it is not installed correctly because the shop I took it to could not pick up RPMs or adjust the fuel but can pick up the mass air flow sensor. So I could not get my car tuned how can a car still run if the wiring is incorrect? To tell you the truth when the piggyback was installed I was able to take my rpms passed 6,000 without the car bogging down before that I could not but for some reason they can't pick up the readings so it can be tuned? I am just going to take it to the Mazda dealership and hope they don't mess up my car and hope for the best but to fix this will not be cheap that is just the price you pay if you want to play.

Dump the Emange and get the Cobb AccessPORT.

Why? The Cobb map can be scaled to handle the larger injectors.

Even though the Emange can control fuel and Ing. anything under 3k the ECU still controls.
