...Keyed....
Well I stopped at Walmart on Saturday afternoon (12:30pm) and parked way out at the end of the lot where no other cars were parked; and while I was inside looking for some cheap deals my car was vandalized. I feel hate right now and I have no one to hate on!!! Anyways here are some pix.

this is part of why I park with everyone else, it doesn't make itself a target and the cameras could catch someone doing **** to the car.
I hope your insurance will pay to get that fixed since its vandalism.
But damn, they made it a point to do it. It's half the length of the car

Walmarts generally have good parking lot coverage on their cameras, one of the side effects of being targeted by police departments saying that crime increases in and around them. (read a few white paper's on the subject)
They probably won't let you see the video or release it to you, but I am assuming you filed a police report, talk to the general manager at the store, give him the number, and ask if he could have the video pulled and sent to the police. Even a vehicle description might trigger something on your end on who might have done it.
Sucks

GEtting a plate is highly unlikely. With current technology, even if they had it recording on HD (brand new to the market, rare, expensive), they would have had to at least target the vehicle with the PTZ and zoom in to a fair degree. Like the car on at least half the screen, if not more. Without HD, they pretty much have to put the license plate filling the screen, which is an incredibly precise zoom, and had to happen at the good angle from the camera. Someone would have to have been at the controls and watching, and noticed it, and the likelyhood of all of that isn't good. However, the video tape can still be helpful in other ways, especially if the offender is someone you are acquainted with. If it was just a random "I hate that I don't have what you have and want to bring you down to my level because I'm jealous" crime, then even the video probably won't be good for anything other than insurance claim backup.
Edit:
On the other hand, it is possible that if it was a Walmart customer on their way in or out of the store, that they could backtrack them through the various cameras and get a face shot at the doors, possibly registers. If you have friends within the prosecutors office or police department, then if they paid with credit card or debit card, then that information would be available through a subpeona to get a victim. A high level of resources and time for a perceptively small crime. Just playing the devil's advocate here and letting you know the challenges of going that way. Likely you won't find anyone willing to go that far for a crime against what most people see as an appliance. Get a car lover working LP in that Walmart and a car lover officer, you could go alot farther.

Good point. Didn't think about the resolution. Now your other point brings us back to my question....... did you (OP) **** off anyone off lately?

Ninja edit.
Yeah, that is still the best shot. CSI pulling facial recognition and license plates off the a reflection from an eyeball in a candid snapshot.....yeah, that doesn't happen. You can't add resolution to an image after it is captured. Only subtract.

Hey guys; ya its scratched to the metal; I drive fast so who knows if I pissed someone off. Ive had a few ladies too so who knows. Insurance stated they would cover the paint job under a vandalism claim. My deductible is 250$ and the local paint shop stated they will paint the entire driver side and the trunk. It is a 2004 so I hope they are bomb at matching the tri cote velocity red. If I get this whip back with wall paint I will be pissed I will keep yall posted. I wonder if they can hook me up with anti vandal bubble wrap. I feel like this wont be the last time for me for some reason (agree it wasn't random).
