Well your revo chipped GTI will probably be faster than the 8 in a straight line.

But the 8 is a better car in EVERY way.

Keep the GTI for a couple of years and see what Mazda brings out for 2006. Jeez, man, you will take a monster depreciation hit if you trade now. Maybe you can afford it, but most people couldn't. The GTI is a great car, and Mazda likely has some very cool tricks up is sleeve for the Renesis rotary (turbo, RX-7, etc). You've paid (through depreciation) for the priviliege of owning a brand new car. Enjoy it for a while before trading in for the next big thing. RX-8s are great, but they'll be around for a while. I would wait.

Enjoy your GTI. The 8 is a great car but unless you have money to trash in a trade I would enjoy your car and its REVO!

For sure don't trade it in. Maybe you could get private party value if you sold it yourself. If not, I agree you may want to wait.

Patience is a virtue, and a fool and his money are soon parted.

Good luck.

Why does everyone want to go fast? What's wrong with going SLOW so that you can let people admire your car. Also, you can check them out too.
I had a great chat with this woman yesterday. The car wasn't even moving. I was going back to my 8 parked at the mall.......
Even standing still, the 8 impresses.

Nobody can really answer this question but....go test drive the RX-8 and you'll be able to evaluate yourself which is the better, bigger, faster car.
