Just sat in it.

Days of ownership: 9
Hours 1 & 3 year old sons in bed: 2
Narragansett tall boys: 2

I can't believe I drive this car. It is f-ing beautiful. The smell of the leather. Just realized that if I tone the interior lights down a notch, the white turns to red and the background blue appears. Perhaps I'm a little more excited about that than I should be, but it's MINE!

I got 15.5 mpg on the first tank and this environmentally conscious liberal couldn't give a ****. I do live 6 miles from work, so... no. It's the addiction talking.

The SOUNDS this car makes! Jesus H. A symphony to me.

Anyway.. A few random thoughts some here will appreciate/identify with/you all get it and I'm going to bed now.

Enjoy the car. Remember to treat it well, and it will treat you well. Read the owner's manual.

Had to laff at this post, My wife had been looking at cars for a year and finally asked me what I might suggest. I told her I always liked the rotory engines so go try an RX8, she said I've never heard of them. She called me at work from a dealership just sitting in one without driving it or starting it up and said lets order a new one from the factory. Nuff Said

Avoiding the McMansion in the burbs with megamile commutes gives one the freedom to drive anything and still have a low CO2/year. No doubt though that if cars were EPA rated in spg (smiles per gallon), the RX would be at the top of any list.

Thanks everyone. I started reading those threads long before I bought but it's alsways good to remind us they're there.

The weather here in MA has been *** lately so I'm thin on the pics. This one's my favourite:

I felt the same way when I first got the car.

It will spoil you, most cars that are as fun to drive cost a lot more.

Enjoy

drive it fairly hard and maintain it and you won't have a lot of problems.
