just my luck, help plz

my 8 isnt starting, i havent driven her in about 3 days. so I walk to her, hit my unlock button and nothin happens, try it again, car wont even blink the lights. So then i use the key to unlock her, get in, put the key in ignition, press clutch and she wont start, nothing happens, no noise nothing!.......my guess is somethin with the security system, since it wont unlock, it wont let me start then, or no??

Might wanna get your battery checked, for sure. Have you screwed around with the negative pole on it?

open hood and unplug the bat and hook it all back up, see if that works. If not, your bat might be bad, and you'll have to take it in to Autozone or something to test it.

I know one time that happened to me. I just unplugged the battery and hooked her back up and she was good to go!!!

ok thanx man........so on the instrument cluster, the DSC light is blinking. I think I need to do the steering wheel calibration to get rid of that. And also the engine light is blinking, I'm assumin its cuz of the battery? I have yet to go n get a new one, gonna go later on today

check engine light isnt caused by the battery.

Mine would blink for a second then go off once it started; if it continues to blink as you drive, that means your car is misfiring.

Glad you figured out it was the battery. That was classic battery symptoms. Get a new one. You're due. Be happy it was an easy fix!

Hardly...make sure you have a good charge in the battery...and drive it. It's unlikely that your battery died and your ignition just happened to pick that instant to totally screw up..........If it continues after you have driven it for a day or so...reset the ECU..and you will likely be OK. If the battery was weak your plugs might be crapped up a bit...and that should go away with a bit of a run

DSC light blinks everytime you disconnect the battery. just turn the wheels all the way to the left and right after starting the car and that should get rid of it. no need for steering wheel calibration. CEL light... not sure.
