Must not drive at night? :dunno:
|
Useless w/o pics.
|
Whats the point of it ? It looks nice for sure.
but at night time .... |
Might as well just tint the headlights.
|
these are not going to produce much usable lighting. Post pics at night and you'll see...

Illegal?

Wow, this thread failed in every way.
|
you would think after two days he would reply to his own thread and put pictures at least.

i have 12000k bulbs in mine. i don't understand what everyone is complaining about. yeah, they do produce less visible light, but i have no problems whatsoever seeing at night. and living in north jersey, i run into ALOT of unlit roads. i have 3000k hids in my fogs, so maybe that counteracts the less light from the lowbeams. i just don't see what the big deal is, i have plenty of light on the road. maybe if you use a cheap ebay bulb or kit you get sh*tty light. i bought well made bulbs so maybe that's why mine are so bright. i dont recomment getting cheap bulbs no matte what color temp, if they arent made right they completely throw off the projector pattern/cutoff.
|
fail....
|
cost you 400 bux? You can get 1200k's for 60 bux online that fix into your stock HIDs. I just put 8000k's on mine and it looks siiiiiiiiick just blue, although the amount of light is severely reduced. Could see much better with the regular 4300k's on it. Still....looks like a much more expensive car at night.

What a jokester..

i'm thinking bs. i looked around and i can't find 13000k, only 10, 12, and 15. so i dunno where he even got them from. prolly jacked out of a mercedes or something and the shop told him whatever bullshit they thought he wanted to hear.
|
I dont know too much about head lights... but are these really blue or something? Just wondering why they're bad for seeing at night... I tried finding pics on google image search but no luck
|
well, i'll try to explain, though im no expert. can probably have rotary rasp chime in if it gets anymore technical here, hahah....
these lights at 13000k will be very purple. the kelvin temperature is a measure of the color. the human eye only sees part of the light spectrum, that which is known as visible light. Natural light is around 5000K (don't quote me), and provides the more intense light output to the human eye. A higher Kelvin temp shifts the color to the blue spectrum and then to purple. This corresponds to a loss in visible light. they're not bad for seeing at nite, but they certainly aren't as good as our stock HID 4300k. purple will probably annoy some people too, cops included. |
I think that the most I would go is 10K. I have 6K and those are cherry. I see these guys and their 12K getting pulled over all the time and i just have to laugh. But hey, its a personal preference thing, I guess.

Here's a link with pictures of all the colors in one photo. 12K bulbs are very purple and have much less light output then factory Xenon.
