Just got my 8 :D - couldn't be happier
Hey,
I just picked up my 8 around 7:30: black, GT package, rotary accents, red & black interior - I get the spoiler and 6 disc changer put in on friday.
The dash is just so nicely laid out, everything is where it should be, I have had no problems stalling so far (cept on steep hills - I live in the mountains) which is good considering I'm new to manual. I hope I dont mess up the clutch - second for some reason seems a bit notchy, but once you get a feel for it, its np.
Being so, I had major problems getting it in reverse. It seemed no matter what I did it went into 6th. Fortunately my neighbor can drive a manual, (hes a former rx7 owner) and he told me you have to sorta push it down as you put it into gear.
I've kept it under 4500 rpms so far, and even still I cant tell there is a lotta power waiting to come out. I dont want to jump to conclusions too soon, but my one worry in getting the 8 was its "lack" of torque. So far for me it has plenty, although I am coming from a v6 grand cherokee.
The sound system is amazing, and I still need to set my bass treble things where I want em.
I do have one quick question; Is it possible to set the headlights to come on automatically? I'm used to that on my jeep and have left them on a couple times by accident.
Thanks

nice colour! Congrats! (is black really a colour?)
The 8 does not have an automatic headlight thingy. But if you remove your keys with the door open it will chime at you.
