Thats a random car to change to. Vettes are always fun though. Did you get a pretty good deal? Ive seen 01-02 vettes go for under $30g with decent mileage (under 50,000).

Congrats! If the C6 didn't have such a HUGELY better interior, I'd consider the trade to a C5, too!

I'd love to have a Vette for the sheer HP, but be careful. A nice-looking Vette once spun out in the local mountains here, while trying to keep up with my Miata!

i knwo the z06 pulls almost a 1 on the G meter... and is just as good of a handler as the 8... i dont know about the regualr C5s though, all i know is he may have gained 135 hp.. but he gains 200+ torque..

You should have just imported an RX-8 from Canada, they have three rotors and about 350hp. At least that is what a Mazda salesman told me yesterday.

The C4 and C5 are exceptional in handling, braking and of course acceleration.
I was strongly considering a C4 6 speed up to the day I bought the RX8.
I just liked the 8 better. I don't need 300 HP. When I was younger I did. I do need the occasional back seat on some days I want to drive the sports vehicle.
But there were a few little things like $1200 for tires every 20,000 miles or twice the insurance cost to consider. The good side to me of a vette was lower depriciation, awesome V8 power & sound.
It's really all to each his own.
