Talking Just bought RX8... AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!!

Seriously...

FOR MY VERY FIRST POST, let me just THANK all of you for the wealth of info that y'all provide. I didn't even have to ask one single question (the search function works great). After three months of research on this site, I feel like I know my car inside and out...

I got a Titanium 6-speed with sports package, spoiler, and cargo liner...

$25,200 OUT THE DOOR... That includes a $1500 rebate and $1000 credit from MAC...

Thanks again...

BTW, one thing that I've learned about RX8 owners are that they are just like Macintosh users... They are passionate about quality, performance, and design... And in general they are very helpful people...

The only thing I'll take exception too is that comparison to Mac users!!! Although if Mac users had designed the 8, there would probably only be an AT option - because if two buttons are too much to deal with, 6 gears definitely will be too!! ;-)

j/k of course! congrats on your new ride :-)

We should do a Mac vs PC poll just for fun...

I bet there would be a disproportionate number of Mac users...

WHO WILL END UP TAKING OVER THE WORLD!!!

(I have a feeling that I'm setting myself up for a whippin...)

You forgot to do your first official duty as a new 8 owner - care to guess what that is?

Gee, how come all the tests of Macs vs PCs show fewer mouse clicks on the Mac to do the same amount of work on the PC = greater productivity on the Mac? Maybe we just don't need all those extra buttons and wheels! Actually, Apple's newest mouse is a 4-button mouse with a small scroll ball that lets you scroll anywhere within a document - diagonally, horizontally as well as vertically.

Here we go!

Exegeses, welcome to the forum! I agree that the design is part of the fun of having a mac and an RX-8. Plus the smaller market share of each makes them stand out.

I won't get into the Mac vs PC debate, I prefer Mac and others don't, who cares. But Groo..., the apple mice just "look" like there's one/no button, it rocks back and forth. So there's really two (plus two on each side). Anyway, I have a kensington wireless, I prefer six gears AND six buttons. LOL

I wonder what's higher?

The % of Macs in the computer world or the % of rotary engines on the road....

Maybe it's that Mac users took the "Think Different" idea to their auto purchasing decisions as well.

Rotary engine, high-tech styling, four doors, 0-60 in 6 seconds, AND IT HUGS ME BACK!!!!

I didn't even know about that last feature!

Lucky! I've gotta wait a couple years before I can get one...

I can't wait for the day that I can post my very own "I just got my RX-8 today!" post.

Welcome to the club! I find it very informative if you can find the info through all the garbage in some of the threads.
