Just about to get mine

Hi All,

I went out for my final test drive yesterday and I am going to be sorting the financing tomorrow - yippee!

I live in the UK so it might only be UK residents that can answer the first two questions!

1. CO2 levels and the law - does anyone know if the levels are likely to get higher, and cause big re-sell problems in the future? And if the levels rise during the 3 year warranty period - will mazda fix it?

2. Im financing the car using the bullb epayment method - basically a large end payment over 3 years - does anyone have any ideas what the car should be worth after 3 years and about 35,000 miles?

3. Im going to have trouble finding an RX8 in the uk to buy asap (I hate waiting!) but have limited my colours to Grey, Black and Silver - any one give any tips/advice on which they think is the best

4. Im pretty satisifed Im not going to get the sat nav - do you think this is a mistake? And if I dont get it now can I get it retro fitted?

thanks for your help!

I LOVE the car - just need the last few things ironed out before I blow £23,700!!! :@)

thanks

will

Go with what you like the most. Other than that, black is a beautiful color but requires lot's of upkeep and also shows the most imperfections, dings, swirl marks, ect. The grey and silver look classy and won't appear to be as dirty as it is. I'm not sure what a bulb payment is. If you have the money to purchase at the end I guess it's o.k, but after having the car for a few years you might be reluctant to part with your savings. The navi is not necessary, unless you are always traveling in unknown areas most of the time. I didn't get it and was happy to save the extra money. Good luck!

I am bias towards grey. I wanted red or blue but they only had a grey auto GT. That color grew on me and now I love it.

I have the Titanium as well. I wanted the red but my wife somehow talked me out of it and into the Tit I went.

1. WILL CO2 LEVELS RISE? IF YOU MEAN- WILL THE CAR PUT OUT MORE CO2 3 YEARS FROM NOW THAN IT DOES TODAY THEN I DON'T THINKS SO. Ooops sorry abotu the caps. if the smog equipment isn't doing it's job properly in 35,000 miles then i would think it was a warrenty issue- at least in the states. what is the cat life law in the UK?

2. well it's only been out for a year so it's hard to say. i think a bulb(balloon) payment doesn't make sense to me but i guess it depends on the rate and amount of the payment plus your financial situation. have you checked the residuals for a lease? that might give you an indication on what they THINK it will be worth.

3. i got silver because i think it is brighter in our dreary Oregon winters. Tit. Grey is a beautiful color though and many of your countrymen have chose the Tit.

4. Sat Nav is a factory fitted option. You can not get it retro-fitted.

welcome and cheers!! :D
