Jump in Milage
well i have had my car for a while now... [since the end of April] and i finally changed my oil yesterday [with help from people in this forum i decided to go with Castrol GTX 5w-30] and lets just say my gas milage improved drastically.
1/4 of the gas tank before the oil change got me roughly 30 miles city/50 miles highway
now after the oil change a 1/4 of the gas tank got me 45 miles city/ 80 miles highway
wow

Yeah it's a huge difference of what some fresh oil can do.
I get usually 40-50 city in the first 1/4 of a tank
But I guage my MPG by Trip and Gallon filled at gas station. But I use the same markings on dial to know where I should be.

When I first got the car, I was getting 12/13 mpg. I calculated on todays fill up and I got 19 mpg (260mi/13.8 gal). This was wet highway, high speed highway and some local driving. Now if I could keep to around 70 all highway, I would defiantly break 20 mpg.
I'm using 10w40 oil and premixing (3 oz/tank). I think the premixing helps.
