when i let off the throttle and it falls to around 900~1k rpm the car struggle to stay on and starts jerking. this same event happens whenever i let off the throttle at around 1.5k rpms. It's not consistent though. Sometimes when i let off it'll jerk, sometimes it won't.

edit: my name is also mike lol

i think you should just keep the car in higher RPM, to find the perfect stop to where it doesn't jerk. i think this is normal i remember my rx8 would jerk around at really low RPMs because lack of power that in that RPM range.

A friend of mine who drives an Acura RSX Type S and had a lot more experience driving manual showed me a trick to keep the foot on the clutch when cruising 7-12 in 1/2 gears. After doing a bit of reading and so on, i wasn't sure it was a good idea so what i generally do is pop it into neutral then cruise. but keeping your foot on the clutch at low rpms stops the jerking but i believe it may wear the clutch if done for extended periods of times

My wife bought the 8 not knowing how to drive stick and learned how to drive the car after buying it so it is definitely possible to learn to drive stick on an 8... it's not all that special.

52k miles later (2k with a turbo) and the clutch is still going strong so I wouldn't worry about it too much...

My situation happened under 3k revs. Normally it would gently slow down with the engine braking slightly for you but in my case it was a sharp change. The dealer described it as the car wanting to fall flat on it's face.
Like I mentioned I did not have to pay and mine was a 2004, and this was last fall. I was well out of warranty but there is an emissions situation that made Mazda still pay for it. I did not really understand the details because I was so excited they covered it to begin with.
