My bad. That means the RX8 people on here got a hold of that poll first, and started voting. I don't frequent car forums enough to keep up with this stuff. Thanks for correcting me, even though it's useless and meaningless. I went by how it was when I first looked at it and it had a substancial significant amount of votes. In the end though, it's still what fanbois/owners get there first, and who votes more. I guess it makes sense that it's neck and neck now. May the best cheater win.

They made 250 votes in an hour -- they're unstoppable. I can almost guarantee it's one dude with a very good script as opposed to a group effort. They had a very slow stream of votes all day and then SURGED at around 9:15 EST. We can't possibly keep up.

The Rx-8 guys are catching up again

also since the Rx8 guys are doing this trying to win, here is the way to vote many times:

Open up IE, vote, then clear all cookies and temp files. Close browser come back at a min of one hour or so and vote again etc.

You can't do this on firefox.

But if you have both browsers than you can vote twice straight away and than do the IE method as many times etc
------------

that was quoted from the s2k forums!! ahh their cheating lol

I don't think you understand. Everyone who has posted in this thread could vote every hour from 10 computers and that one dude on there would still beat you. They went from averaging 14 votes per hour all day long to 178 votes per hour right around 9 o'clock tonight when that one guy started his program.

BTW, did anyone happen to notice what has happened in the other race on our bracket? Before today the Subaru was winning handily, usually at least 56% to 44% or more. Now, all of a sudden, the Infiniti is ahead 56% to 44%. Do you think just maybe the same person(s) flooding the votes for the S2000 is doing the same for the Infinity so they don't have to face the Subaru in the next round?

Just a thought. Maybe someone at Forbes needs to be made aware of what is going on.

Probably, but it doesn't really matter. STi guys can't keep up with them anyways.

Nothing complicated at all about it. Someone is running through a list of thousands of proxy servers. It's as old as polygamy or wagon wheels. I have no clue where this guy gets his inexhaustible list of proxies, but it's by no means groundbreaking. You give me a list of 1,000 proxies and we have 1,000 more votes in about an hour.

There's a small chance it's something slightly more clever, but I highly doubt it.
