If the Infinity QX is anything like the Jeep Cherokee then it is fast off the line... surprising what they can do with all wheel drive. Of course they aren't the best for handling around a corner like a super car is.... Don't think the 8 has super car status the last time I checked. That being said none of the other vehicles are either.

What classifies a true supercar?

Agreed and exactly the point. There isn't a "supercar" in there at all whatever definition you use. I think poor gas mileage, silly horsepower, outrageous looks (though still could be very good looking) and costs as much as a house.

The QX meets any criteria you wish to set least of all (sports or supercar...). It is fast for a SUV but it is still an SUV. Compared to the cars there it is downright sluggish in terms of both acceleration and handling.
