interior robustnesses
Hello all, I have been going through some of the threads and am curious as to how robust the interior plastics etc are. While the panels all look nice and glossy do they wear quickly, catch scratches easily?
And also are the seats plastic rims on the sections where there is heavy wear?
Cheers
Sam

I'm a hefty guy and last night had to climb over the center console. Nary a creak while doing so. I have also had no issues with scratched plastic pieces or torn cloth. Doing pretty good so far.

I have had no problems.
There is a service memo about the fan and temp **** comming off. There is apparantly fixed ***** for it, but I haven't had any problem with it.
(2600 miles GT package.) I really love the interior...

I put a light scratch on the silver painted trim peice when I missed the seat belt latch and it went north instead of south! Other than that everything is great.

The only problem I'm having after six months is the passenger side airbag cover, between the glovebox and the botto of the windscreen. It's started to go patchy white in places, due to the sun I assume. I've not used any cleaning materials or chemical sprays in the car so it can't be me. I think it'll get worse over time and will need replacing eventually.

JSG! have not heard from you for the longest time! How's things going on in Tokyo, Japan. How's the RX8's scenes in Japan? Is the 8 still very hot property there? There have been quite a few problematic 8 mentioned in the US market, wonder if the JDM's 8 are doing ok.
Cheers.

helsbuddha, I understand...the black plastic on the doors, dash, glovebox, and above the door sill scratches easily. When I get in and out; just have to be cautious...
