Inside colour of exhaust manifold?

Odd thread title, I know, but I just installed my mid-pipe today and noticed that the inside of my manifold was a very even shade of white. I thought these cars ran on the rich side before tuning, I figured it would have been quite black in there. It's not something I'm concerned about, just something that caught my eye. Even so, is that normal?

Stock tune is leaner, I was seeing 13 AFR under WOT on the OE flash. Thats a normal color.

White is normal. It runs rich, but the exhaust is also really hot, and that fuel still gets burnt ... just in the manifold.

Yeah, my manifold is ash white on the inside as well as the O2 sensor when I removed it. Should be fine, Lol.
