Question input on this rx-8

Hey all, I might be back in the 8 market and the one vehicle i am looking it is as follows

-2004
-manual
-45,500 miles
-leather

i have read that buyers should stay away from 04-05' but i don't really know why...the car looks great (on pictures) also it has a push engine start button where the circular cd looking compartment is...is that a factory option from mazda for the rx8? i've never seen it on others..also is this a GT model? thanks

could be a GT if it has heated seats than yes.

The push start button wasnt an option for you 04.

The 04 05 had a few more "problems" than the other years however this is true for any car for their first years (car manufacturers often release cars before everything is fixed because its just to costly and impractical to have a beta? run before the actual models are released). Being said the renesis has proved to have some lubrication issues that ultimately lead to engine compression loss or failure. basically search through old 04 05 threads for more on it. and there are plenty of people who havent had problems with their 04 05 but this doesnt mean they dont exist

and we really need more info like price, original engine or not, and a few pics would be nice to give you some input.
