all jokes aside, i just watched an episode of family matters, when laura's boyfriend with a fixed up camaro z28 called out steve urkel in his bmw isetta. hillarous! it reminded me of this thread. and yes, there were in high school.

 

what episode was that?? I dont remember that one...

 

Didn't erkel put like, a flux capasiter or something in his car and beat him in a race?

it's when they were at a diner parking lot. laura's boyfriend, i think his name is curtis, and his friends tipped over urkel's isetta. they were talking about racing and laura's boyfriend wanted her to be in the car with him next time he races. urkel was being protective of laura so he challenged the bf and bet him as long as laura doesn't ride with him. the bf agreed. urkel turns his car into a dragster and pwns the z28. urkel crashes his isetta b/c his parachute malfunctioned. he was okay and laura was thankful and says "that could've been me." usual corny ending.

p.s. this is a racing story but from an episode of family matters and i hope i dont get in trouble for this.

 

Damn I must have missed that episode cuz I don't remember that one at all...but then again it has been a while. That would be wicked if you got banned for posting urkel racing stories hahaha

 

So are there anymore updates? Have those kids come up with any more "I've beat an exotic" car stories? I love hearing how outlandish some poeple can get. Let us know how the situation is going.

My civic would whoop *** on my rx8 but my civic was not stock by any means. 310 hp 212 tq on my civic. with only 185 ~ ish on my rx8... I got my rx8 because I wanted a reliable car 310 hp on a civic becomes a project too often to be a everyday driver. the RX8 is much more fun.

 

This is why it's the biggest cry baby forum on the net.

When I was in university, I was in school in July every other year. I alternated terms between school and work...

 

I usually tell people who criticize my car that they are in fact right. My car isn't fast and I have nothing to prove to them. If I wanted a straight line fast car I would have bought a Mustang and when they are worn out from driving 1200 miles on a trip across the country, I am still riding comfortably.

 

Tell them to watch the Rolax series and they'll see the 8 pass Porches and Vettes

 

...but not Pontiacs.

My first vehicle?

a 68' Ford F100.. 2 Shades of California Forest Service green. Twisted driver side splines on the rear axle. Needed a new head, & 3 outta 4 brakes were blown.. The gas tank was so rotten that I went threw 2 fuel filters in the first month.. Who knows what else..

I still have it too.. Going on sale on ebay.. Ha Ha! Any one interested?

Did the same to a Mustang owner, I shut him up really quick.

We pulled up to a light, he was directly behind me reving his engine. so i flip of the traction control and show him that the 8 is not a little ricer like the rest of the punks he tries to intimidate. After red lining 1st and 2nd i back off because i'm already at 60 in a 35 ( i know, shame on me) and wave him off before it gets stupid. We end up iat the same gas station and he starts talking to me about how " I usually burns ricers like that with my mustang GT" pointing towards at his non-GT mustang. I respond "Ricers or Rx8's?" his next question was "what have you go done to your engine, it's a ford engine right?" "nope, i'm running about 190 rwhp out of a 1.3l NA, factory" his response "190 NA from a 1.3l?" So i pop the hood and his jaw drops.

But yeah, call them out on their claims, and just be flat out honest with what your car is.

If they want to dump 15,000 into a 7,000 altima, just to get it to the performance level of an Rx8, then they're idiots. Let them live their pipe dream, they might as well strap a bike seat to a rocket it they want strait line acceleration.
You didn't buy the Rx8 to go in a strait line, you bought it to drive it.
