i'm new, hey...

Hey guys... great site... I'm new here, just picked up my 8 saturday night (05, brilliant black w/ black leather, GT, nav, rotary accent package) and i love it.

the only complaint i have (other than not being the best stick shift driver... yet...) is that i've noticed a squeak coming from the center console, right about where the shifter is, when i go over bumpy surfaces (uneven roads... ugh..)

anyone else had a similar experience?

Welcome and congrats. Black is by far the best looking color on the 8.

Hey, welcome to the cult! Lots of good information and friendly people here.

I remember seeing a thread about a "cricket chirping" noise coming from the console, maybe try searching on that.

With all the other critters that seem to be crawling around in peoples cars, maybe it is a cricket ? I have a spider living in mine. Last seen in the window track. Makes me not want to wear flip flops...

Welcome and grats on the new car! What did you trade in?

As for the console problem just take it back the dealer (if it's a constant thing that the dealer will notice) and they will do their best to fix it, it should be covered by warranty.

Yeah, especially if you have a lot of time and desire to clean your car and don't fret over swirl marks :p

my last car was a 95 mx-6... the dealer only wanted to give me about 1850 for it (the stereo and wheels alone were worth more than that), so i sold it to my roommate for 2500...

i know it's worth more, but i needed to get my 8!
I'll be kinda broke until my tax return check comes in, but as long as i can buy gas, i'm happy

the only prob. i have is that my apt. doesn't have a public hose. I'm gonna end up going to one of those coin-op places

I don't have a lot of time, but the time I have is spent cleaning my 8 when the weather is warm, and I love it. :D
