Just bought a 2004 RX8. Got it with 2000 miles, so its pretty darn new, yet still used. I got it from a dealership, not Mazda though.

My question is... what can I do to have Mazda know that I own the car. For example when I bought my Jeep, brand new, I got letters for all recalls and updates with information from Jeep. I want to receive the same from Mazda for example for the flash upgrades or any recalls were to happen.

Any Ideas?

Go to the Mazda dealer of your choice and have your oil changed. That will get you in thier computer for ads, coupons, updates and recalls. (They probably will ask you specifically if you want to be notified by e-mail on recalls.)

 

Register yourself and your car's VIN at the Mazda USA web site. That way, you should get recall notifications and updates.

 

Call the 800 number in the book or fill out the card in the back and send it in.

 

What should I do if I put the VIN in the mazdausa website and it says incorrect. But I know it's the correct VIN?

 

Madizm, visit your local dealer and run vin search, will upload in system.
