Ok When i turn on my car and let it idle its pretty loud. I was wondering if this is normal or no? I got an automatic btw

 

no i cant even hear my car at idle.

 

You need to get your hearing check.

 

be nice.......yes it's normal, when starting up cold the engine will start off at around 2500 rpm and should calm down to a tick under 1000 rpm in a couple minutes. The only thing that could make it seem a little louder is if you have the AC on.

 

why? this car is not loud at idle. doors closed, windows up it should not be in the range where someone inside the car calls it "loud". add the radio on 5 or higher and you wont hear it idle.


p.s. check your spelling and/or grammar. "check" as you used it in your sentence should have been "checked"

 

Yeah, the idle can be kind of loud at start up, and that is normal because it is idling a little high and a little rough. It should be nice and quiet when the car is warm though. If it idles loudly all the time, you might have a problem.

 

Ok thanks a lot. It only idles the first couple of minutes when i start the car. i guess that is normal. Thanks again
