After endless reading, decided to use idemitsu for premix. Any group buy in progress? If not, any interest in group buy by the case?

BTW, jmc23200 was thinking about doing a group buy back in March but nothing materialized probably because the costs and hassle of shipping were not justified by the modest cost savings.

A discount code avoids the extra expense of double shipping so it might be worth looking into. I was going to look into this also as soon as I get low.

 

I get mine from www.mazdatrix.com, they sell it by the case.

Wonder if mazdatrix offers a discount code--probably makes more sense. Otherwise, find someone who lives close to me to split the cost of a case. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

 

Mazdatrix is about the only place to get it by the case.

 

Try and email them. See if they will offer a discount to club members for a limited time or something.

 

Eh, wish you had posted earlier, just bought a case myself.

Anyways, a heads up on shipping. Be sure to opt for standard ground.

1-day Air - $95.00 shipping cost
2-day Air - $70.00 shipping cost
Standard Ground - $25.00 shipping cost

Figures aren't exact but close. They were nice enough to call me to confirm my order as I orginally selected next day air. There were also a couple other options that fell between ground and 1-day air but it was pretty much $20.00 increments.

Ended up going with Standard Ground, projected delivery time is 4 days so not too terrible.

Hope that helps as they don't list shipping costs in the order form.

If you buy by the case from mazdatrix, you are effectively getting 12 bottles for the price of 11 (or buy 11, get 1 free).

I suppose it might be possible if you had a large enough order to get a drop shipment direct from Idemitsu USA.

 

I would be interested in a group buy, too. I bought just a few quarts to get me started until I had more money to get a whole case (and until I was sure I wanted to continue using it). I'll be ready to order a case pretty soon (preferably in August).
