You should know ahead of time what kind of posts people like that make over there. I'm not going into another one of these threads beating a dead horse about this subject. They bought there SRT-4s for a reason-straight line performance. They don't handle all that bad either. You know that all the RX-8 owners out there could have bought one or TWO of those things and staged them to compete or beat theirs. Take comfort in that. I knew when I plunked my money down for an RX-8 what I was getting and still am glad I bought my 8.
When I see one of those Neons on the road, I see no class. Driving an SRT-4 is like putting on a pair of $1.99 yard gloves and driving my 8 is like slipping on the most buttery-smooth leather. There is no contest in the "overall" experience of driving these cars.

screw the SRT-4 . Look at it, regardless it's a neon. I'm not hatin on any Neon drivers, but I read that post, and the clowns in that forum are just a bunch of teenage kids who probaly work at 711 and have been saving up for this car for the last 3 years. It's great that they have actually put time and effort into their cars, but we all know that off the line our cars aren't the greatest. But who cares, we'll DESTROY them on the highway

Probably not.
The SRT-4 is a cheap light econocar with a turbo. That is all. Yes it goes fast. It is ugly and unrefined too. Wow, you raced at a stoplight and won!!!! You want a cookie?

There will always be somebody faster--you have to remember the internet allows for these type of things--besides, look at the demographic of SRT4 owners. I'm sure that if any of us wanted an SRT we would have gotten one--its not like they are expensive.

I think your the biggest moron , the neon is one of the worst cars out go check the book value on a neon they practally are given them out. not to mention all the problems that come with it trust me i know a few people who own them and if you ever told them that there car is the best car you would get a terrible *** whooping.

I'm not saying the SRT is the best car ever made the folks of SRT forum are. They freely bash anyone who is willing to spend more for a car that can't beat them in straight line acceleration.

From the looks of it...I wont go over there and read...it's not worth it. We have a sports car, they have a fast econobox...point made.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that Dodge had the guts to build them but people compareing cars or insulting others are just a big waste of time.
A TRUE SPORTS CAR ENTHUSIAST can find the good in any performance car and would not bash others because they don't own them or one car is faster than another...that's just childish.

Yeah, I respect those guys because they got a hell of a lot of power for cheap. We were just interested in a different kind of car. They could beat us on a straight line and on a lot of tracks (with some minor mods)...no big deal. I'm sure not going to lose sleep over it...especially when I fill up my car with 3 beeeeeautiful ladies

Stuff like this just confirms what we all agree with, the 8 should have more like 300HP and not so much 238HP(not talking whp)...but, those are some FUN 238 ponies under our hood. I'm only 50 miles until 9K heaven...I can't wait to hear the beep for the first time!!!WooooHOOOO
Note: Philodox got another 65HP out of his greddy turbo...I can't wait till he post some time slips, I'm going nuts waiting to see what another 65HP does for a RX8!
