BUT, as it pushes down on the black 8, it also produces more friction with the road with the tires, which does improve grip, but slows you down, therefore the silver is still faster.

and even though the black would absorb the sunlight from the back, it wouldnt give the car more energy to go, just the body of the car

 

True enough, it will slow us blacks (not racism!!) down a little bit, but you and me both know that it's all about the twisties where the RX-8 really shines and I will be coming around the corners with more speed than a silver one, due to the increased downforce. From the sun. Yeah.

Also the heat means that a black one warms up faster and so it reaches peak efficiency before a silver one

sunlight silver my pass the red but eventually crash and render the car useless as the red passes it in the longer run.....fast is steady
