So far I have avoided tire shrapnel. I hit a pylon once with my last car that was splayed in the lane.

Retreading only has one pro; saving truckers money. For us it damages our cars, causes accidents, and litters the highways. The practice really needs to be banned.

I don't like retreads either, but just keep in mind that if they were to be outright banned, trucking costs would increase and therefore so too the cost of all of our online ordered modding goodies.

There are plenty of retards driving cars that I'd like to have a bulldozer to hit.

 

I had the same thing happen to me in April. Massive dump truck lost the tread on its wheel right infront of me. It tore the appearance package part of the bumper off, cracked the bumper, cracked the grill, and all sorts of other hell to my tires, wheel wells ect. Long story short, even after getting the insurance info from the truck and a police report, the truck company refused to pay and my insurance company complied. They said it was considered a road hazzard and it was held against me as a single car collision. I had to pay the deductible and my rates went up. At least the repair company did an excellent job with it.

I totally feel for you man. I hope your insurance wont be as gay as mine was and they actually persue the trucking company for it.
