I got a question about driving at a constant speed

I was reading the manual and it says to avoid driving the car at a constant speed and also to not keep the engine revving at a certain RPM for a long time.

So do you thnk that by driving the car for a long time with Cruise on at a constant speed is asking for trouble? Maybe this is attributing to the engine failures

This only applies to the break in. During break in just follow what it says and don't leave it at a constant speed for a while. You don't have to constantly speed up and slow down but just try to throw in some variations. I seriously doubt this is attributing to engine failures.

Constant rpm during break-in period may cause glazing.

I would seriously hope that Mazda would not make a car that can't be taken on long trips.

I think you're past the 600 mile break-in period, so that would be OK. :-)

FWIW, on my 06 there's just one cruise light. When cruise is on but not engaged, it's yellow. When engaged, it's green. One of those little touches that I find to be very pleasant - like all of the cruise controls (including on/off) being in one group.
