I got Pwned!
So there I was...sitting at a red light on my way to work, when all of the sudden the light turns green, and as I start to go, a black 350Z flies by my on the right side with some guy with his tongue hanging out. At the next light (1/4 mile or so away, so it was very necessary to drive that fast) he's bouncing up and down in his car making all those "I kicked your ***" gestures, so I was forced to laugh at him. Appearantly I was involved in a street race where the Z was allowed a rolling start, but not me. Congratulations, you beat a non moving car.

Isn't it fun when mommy and daddy buy you a sports car you can show off in. I think the Z owners are insecure because RX-8's are better, so they feel the need to show off their straight line acceleration

So true..and sad..lol. My 8 is mostly a weekend car (I have a work-provided vehicle) and it never fails - at least once per day we have a "ricer fly by." We even had one pull into the parking lot after us. The two guys were asking all kinds of questions and then mentioned an "unauthorized event" late that evening that I needed to come to so they could see what the 8 could do. I started to tell them I wasn't interested when my wife chimed in - "No thank you; we much prefer the twisties over the straight out speed - this car handles so much better than most we have gone against." That shut them up.
After they left, I looked at her. "Twisties? What WE have gone against?" "I didn't know that you and I ever went on the twisties against someone?!?"
She said she wanted to have some fun with the ricers too.
"Ricers?" "You said Ricers?"
"Who are you and what did you do with my wife?"
She just smiled.
Damn I love her.

I had a similar incident with a middle aged guy in a Grand Prix GTP this morning... first the 'fly-by', then 2 jack rabbit starts in a row at stop lights. I expect that from ricers, but not Mr middle-aged-rental-fleet-car-owner... I just kept shaking my head at the tool.

not to stray off the 350Z story but damn, blueEyes,that granny in that thread pic has got one hellva strong right leg.....hope the kids alright though...

I told my gf I was in a race on my way to work and she was like WHAT, then I said, "well, he was racing" and she laughed

some Z did that to my buddy and I, funny thing is, we punked him lol =) my buddy has an 8 too he was behind the Z and i was in front, going 30 in the freeway =)........of course late late late night
