Talking I got my car back!! FINALLY!!

wow, after an agonizing THREE WEEKS at the dealership, my car was finally finished today. For those of you that are unaware of the problems I was having (or for those that simply dont remember) the tranny in my 04 Rx8 was making nasty metal on metal turning/grinding noises in all gears. The first time I tried to have it fixed it took them over a week to replace the clutch, which wasnt even the problem.. and then took 3 weeks to rebuild the transmission. But the noise is gone and Im now an extremely happy, and super excited, Rx8 owner. I didnt have to pay a dime even though my car was out of warranty because i was able to convince the place i bought it from to fix it.. ended up costing them almost $3000, and now I have an 04 Rx8 with a new clutch and a new transmission. super bad ***.

What Ive learned over the past month during all this chaos and frustration:
1- Never buy a car from a dealership with the name "Johnny's...."
2- The weird turning noise the car makes in neutral WHILE SITTING STILL is normal
3- ANY noises coming from the tranny WHILE THE CAR IS MOVING is not normal
4- Mazda dealerships are slow as ****
5- Always get a second opinion, especially when the first place tells you nothing is wrong with your car... and then use the second opinion to work a deal with the first place.
6- Even if your car is just a couple hundred miles over 50K, its out of warranty and dealerships wont budge.
7- beer is good and stuff

im out.

At least you've got a car which should (touch wood) be hassle free for a long time....
