I Don't Get It

With new plugs, coils, wires and two repaired vacuum leaks on the intake bellows, plus premix, my 2004 is amazing! I am obviously new here, but I have to wonder if most of the complainers have cars with maintenance issues that need to be addressed. Mine was pretty disappointing when I first got it a few weeks ago. Poor performance and a gas hog. The car now runs FANTASTIC, it's way more fun than my 1986 Porsche 911 ever was. I would compare my RX8 favorably with the 1995 Porsche 968 that I owned several years ago, and it was a 240 Hp 3.0L 4. I'm glad that I bought this car in spite of the negative press. Thanks again to everyone who has posted great information here that allowed me to quickly get it back in shape.

Good job on getting it in shape, I'm glad that your car found the right owner.

From a Porsche to an rx8 is like a downgrade, but don't get me wrong, the rx8 is a fun car to drive and the Porsche is a luxury vehicle and fun to drive too. Good luck with the new ride.

1986 911 to a 2004 RX8 is a step down in name only
