After reading 12 pages of blah blah blah, I just wanted to slap myself for missing this thread. Tiburon's are pretty fast when supercharged. Other than that, there aren't many better options for it. I'm not going to compare the 8 to the tib because I don't see how they can compare. They are two completely different cars. But after all the post's I've read, I think you'd be better off purchasing a rsx type s. It's a better car for what you want. It is also one of the few fwd's that actually handle well. It is also very cheap to "trick out" and you have millions of parts available for that ride. Just my thoughts. Good luck with whatever you are going to do. But, I would take my 8 over any boosted tiburon any day.

He posted a picture of someone's car from newtiburon.com that had a supercharger installed and tried to play it off as his.

 

the pictures were in this thread on page 12 it was of a SC tib and saying he was gonna keep his tib because it was too much fun. so i went onto the newtib forum and right there top thread in the forced induction section was the actual owner of the car he posted so i asked if he was the same guy on here. of course immediately after the guy on here removed the pictures and claimed he wasnt saying that was his exact car lol then he pm'd me and asked why i was giving him so much grief...maybe i just dont like liars

Notice he never listed the mods on his car. He is probobly like a guy that works where I do. He has a Toyota Corolla XRS that he put a cold air kit on, replaced the muffler with a straight pipe, put on a ugly body kit that does not fit that well, and the fast and furious graphic treatment on it. He saw my 8 and started telling me how he runs "in the 9'". I said that is not bad for a fwd in the 8th. He said, "no, that is in the quarter". I asked to look at the car and he showed me. When I saw what he had done,.... 9's in his wet dreams. Maybe. He thinks he is fast and talks a big game. He has even tried to get me to race him.
